On the morning of September 8, the second China (Bozhou) - RCEP Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry Cooperation Conference was held in Bozhou, where the establishment of the RCEP TCM Industry Cooperation Council was announced. The secretariat will be permanently located in Bozhou.

Since the first cooperation meeting during the 2023 TCM Expo, Bozhou has actively participated in open development discussions and exchanges with ASEAN and RCEP regional cooperation. The city has organized businesses to visit countries and regions such as Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam, hosting a series of promotional activities and business negotiations. Economic and trade ties have become increasingly close, with 213 enterprises engaging in trade with RCEP countries, achieving 17 new cooperation intentions, signing 14 trade orders totaling 40 million yuan. From January to July this year, the import and export volume with RCEP countries reached 940 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.7%, accounting for 35.7% of the city's total import and export volume.

RCEP is the world's largest free trade agreement in terms of population coverage and economic scale, providing Bozhou with greater opportunities and space to seize the moment.

During this year's cooperation conference, Bozhou signed memorandums of cooperation with the Philippine Chinese Chamber of Commerce and the Indonesian Traditional Health Organization Association, aiming to establish cooperative relationships with six of the ten ASEAN countries and 11 industry associations. The scope will further expand into cultural tourism, green food, and trade logistics. Bozhou TCM Group, Hefu Pharmaceutical, and Shenglin Pharmaceutical will hold signing ceremonies with several companies from Southeast Asia. Bozhou TCM Group, as the only state-controlled pharmaceutical company in Bozhou, marks a deeper involvement of state-owned capital in RCEP industry cooperation, which will undoubtedly accelerate the "going global" efforts of more local enterprises and establish cooperative relationships with businesses in various countries.
