Free acupuncture services offered by Lions Club of Selangor TCM.

Themed “Glimmer of Love”, the bazaar aimed to raise funds and promote TCM.

It was held from 9am to 1pm at Maju Link, Bandar Tasik Selatan in Kuala Lumpur.

Among the activities were free health consultation, acupuncture, massage, pulse diagnosis and podiatry checks.

There were also booths selling traditional health products alongside food and beverages.

MCAH women division director and organising committee chairman Dr Jennifer Ong said the funds raised would support the association’s charitable efforts for orphanages and old folks homes.

“Engaging in charitable deeds like this can positively impact lives through modest actions,” Ong said.

Also present were Lions Club of Selangor TCM chairman Alex Saw Yuen Heung, vice-chairman Chia Wing Yee, MCAH founder Datuk Liew Poon Siak, vice-presidents Dr Ng Po Kok and Lim Lay Hooi, its women division chairman Datuk Ada Poon Yin Hoong and vice-chairman Hew Poh Chin.

Ng, in his speech, emphasised the association’s ongoing commitment to assisting people in need, regardless of race, through charity work.

“The love and dedication of the MCAH women division are evident.

“With support from the Lion Clubs of Selangor TCM, they consistently offer free medical consultations to nursing homes and orphanages every month.

“They also donate essential items to disadvantaged groups,” said Ng, who is also Malaysia Federation of Chinese Physicians and Acupuncturists Associations president.

He added that this commitment extended to promoting and supporting TCM in Malaysia.

“MCAH aims to secure greater support from Chinese organisations to protect the rights and interests of TCM practitioners, thereby elevating their status,” Ng said.
