How did the "Saint in Chinese Medicine" Zhang Zhongjing treat a patient? What contents are included in the legendary classic Compendium of Materia Medica? How did Tu Youyou, the first female Chinese Nobel laureate, extract artemisinin? Visitors can find answers to these questions at the Chinese medicine exhibition, which opened at China Science and Technology Museum in Beijing on Monday.

As an ancient and modern Chinese Medicine scholar's exhibition, it shows the treasures and achievements in the history of traditional Chinese medicine in a visualized manner with the help of modern technology and equipment.

It allows visitors to learn about Chinese medicine and culture through interactive exhibits such as intelligent pulse diagnosis, acupuncture, and massage systems. The exhibition will run until the end of February.

Yin Hao, director of the museum, said that by showing the stories and achievements of the 13 ancient medical practitioners and seven contemporary Chinese medicine scholars, the exhibition is the first themed exhibition that shows the spirit of ancient and modern Chinese scientists.

"This exhibition is of great significance for promoting the spirit of scientists in the new era and promoting traditional Chinese medicine culture," said Qin Huaijin, deputy director of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

"The equipment in the exhibition allows visitors to immerse themselves in the charm of Chinese medicine and inspire more young students to join the field of traditional Chinese medicine and promote the team of traditional Chinese medicine practitioners," said Wan Jinyi, a teacher from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine who visited the exhibition.
